How to Play
Diamond Kings · All-Era Roster Draft
The Drill
Every roll locks in a franchise and a decade. You draft what the dice give you, with no takebacks.
Pick one player from that team and era into any open spot on your roster.
Fill all thirteen spots: the nine fielders on the diamond, plus a manager, a no.2 starter, a closer, and a designated hitter in the dugout.
The three outfield spots take any outfielder; the DH takes any everyday bat; every other spot takes only its own position.
When the roster is full, it grades out of 100 and projects to a 162-game record and a postseason finish.
You cannot draft the same player twice out of the same decade.
What's Scored
Spots are weighted. The ace starter counts the most. Shortstop and center field carry a small premium for up-the-middle value; the DH counts a touch less.
There is no position-fit bonus or penalty: a player rates the same wherever they are eligible to play.
Every roster is built from real standouts, so the raw average always runs high. The club rating stretches that band onto a full 40–100 scale, which is why a blind draft lands near .500 and a sharp one climbs toward a champion.
If a rolled franchise and decade has no one who fits an open spot, the dice never land there, so you are never stuck waiting on a team that cannot help.
Modes & the Hall of Fame
Era sets the dice: All-Era rolls every decade from the 1970s on, 90s+ starts at the 1990s, 2000s+ starts at the 2000s.
Difficulty: Blitz hides ratings while you draft. Rookie marks elite players with a star as you pick. The final score is identical either way; Blitz is simply blind.
The Hall of Fame records Blitz, All-Era runs only. It shares one global board with the rest of the arcade. Any other setup still plays and scores, but will not post.

A typical blind, all-era build lands around Fringe. Drafting the best available at each spot is how you climb to a Division Winner, a pennant, and the rare World Series Champion.
C catcher · 1B / 2B / 3B the corner and middle infield · SS shortstop.
LF / CF / RF left, center, and right field. Any outfielder can fill any of the three.
DH designated hitter — takes any everyday bat, including a catcher or infielder.
Note in parentheses a player's franchise name in that era, when it has since moved or been renamed (for example Montreal, the Expos, before the Nationals).
Filled how many of the thirteen spots are set. Draft Drive the meter tracking progress to a full roster.
